FREE BOOK PROGRAM PROVIDED BY THE KINGMAN HEALTHCARE CENTER FOUNDATION (KHCF)

WHO: Children in Kingman County, Kansas aged 0 to 4 and a half
Every child enrolled is eligible until they reach the age of 5.
WHEN: Every Month
Each child in your household will be gifted a new book – every month – that is suitable for their age.
WHY: Literacy is Health
We strongly believe that early reading is essential for numerous health benefits. It plays a vital role in a child’s brain development, establishing a foundation for cognitive skills, emotional well-being, and overall health literacy. This foundation enables them to comprehend and manage their health needs throughout their lives. Additionally, early reading boosts language skills and can lead to lower stress levels and better mental health in the long run.
In Kingman County, there are over 400 children in this age group, and our goal is to provide books to all of them.
We take great pride in being the local affiliate for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This means KHCF financially backs the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program by covering all wholesale book and shipping expenses for children enrolled in Kingman County.
