Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program to help heart patients recover quickly and improve their heart health. It is a partnership between you, your doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare providers who can help you change your health habits. Taking part in a Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Kingman Healthcare Center is an opportunity for you to partner with professional caregivers to improve your cardiac health.
You, your physician, and the staff at KHC will design a program tailored to meet your individual needs. You will learn warm-up exercises, and cool down activities that will play an active roll in improving your health.
Most heart patients can help lower their risk of future heart problems if they make changes to improve their health. Exercise can slow the progression of heart disease and decrease the chance of future heart attack. It can improve circulation and increase muscle and bone strength. Exercise reduces heart rate and blood pressure, and helps with weight control. It reduces depression and increases stamina and endurance.
A referral is required from your physician in order for you to enter the program.
