General Surgery at KHC
What Does General Surgery Mean?
General Surgery is its own surgical specialty. General surgeons are trained to operate on the body as a whole. They understand how different parts of the body interact with each other, which provides a lot of versatility when operating.
What kinds of surgeries are performed at KHC?
At Kingman Healthcare Center, we offer a variety of general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery, to manage and treat conditions and diseases affecting various areas of the body. Some of the most common surgeries performed at KHC are:
- Colonoscopy
- Upper Endoscopy or EGD
- Cholecystectomy (Gall Bladder Removal)
- Appendectomy (Appendix Removal)
- Melanoma/Skin Cancer/Lesion Removal
- Hernia Repair
- Portacath (Insertion & Removal)
About our Surgeon
Many surgical procedures that used to require long hospital stays and recovery periods can now be done on an outpatient basis with shorter, less painful recovery times. We are proud to offer many of these procedures at KHC with our surgeon, Brady Werth, MD.
- Dr. Werth, a native Kansan, received his medical degree and his general surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
