Registration & T-shirt Pickup Starting at 7am

Event Starts at 8am but come early to get in on all the fun!

Please read all the important info below as there is a lot to know including EARLY T-SHIRT PICKUP times! :)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Event logistics:

Unlike last year, the start and finish will be at the SAME location – in Riverside Park near the entrance. The route will not be going on city streets, but rather throughout the west and east side of the park’s walking paths.
Registration/t-shirt pick-up begins at 7:00 AM. You do not HAVE to be there at that time, but please do allow plenty of time for parking, walking to the starting line, and getting everybody organized.
You may pick up your t-shirt and sunglasses Friday, September 22 from 4-6pm in the Kingman Healthcare Center parking lot. Due to the high number of registrations, we recommend picking up on Friday if you are able. *We encourage you to wear your Kingman County Strong shirt for the run/walk!
There will be NO PARKING in Riverside Park, except for vendors and set-up crew. We suggest parking at the Expo Center just west of Main Street (from there you can walk under the bridge to the park, so you don’t have to walk across the road.)
There will not be official timing, but there will be medals for the top 3 adult and top 3 youth finishers of the 5K.
Bathrooms will be available in the baseball concession stand building and the Expo Center.
Breakfast burritos and water will be served after the race, provided by the KHC Foundation. Donations accepted!
In case of inclement weather, we will NOT do a run or walk, but still plan to gather at the Armory building (just north of the Expo center) to share resources and have a short time of remembrance. Watch your email and the Kingman Healthcare Center Facebook page for any changes to the event.

Some other important notes:

There will be a memorial area, with the following: a corkboard to post photos or written remembrances, a table to “light” a battery-operated candle, and a banner to sign your name or write a note.
After the race you will get a free drawstring bag with a few items inside. Please go visit the resource tables and fill that bag with all their wonderful information, handouts, etc. You may not need it today, but you might in the future, or someone you love might need that valuable info or resource.
Feel free to accessorize – colorful headbands, socks, jewelry, or anything joyful!
Don’t forget to check out other Kingman Fall Fest activities while you’re in town! https://www.kingmancc.com/kingman-fall-festival

Volunteers

We will be working on assigning tasks. We may contact some of you in advance, and others we may assign the morning of. We ask that you arrive by 7:30 AM unless otherwise directed.
If anyone is willing to stick around to help clean up after that event (load tables, color powder, and other supplies into vehicles), that would be great!

Community Resource tables:

Please be set up by at least 7:30 AM. You may park in Riverside Park.
You must bring your own table & chairs.
*As noted above, if there is inclement weather, please set up your table inside the Armory building (on the west side of Main St, north of the Expo Center).

We are glad you are coming!!

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED DUE TO T-SHIRT PRINTING SCHEDULES -BUT- WE WILL HAVE SOME EXTRAS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Please email Kara at karar@kingmanhc.com for more info.

SPONSORSHIPS/DONATIONS: SINCE THE SHIRTS & BANNERS ARE IN THE PRODUCTION STAGE, WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY ADDITIONAL LOGOS OR NAME ENTRIES -BUT- WE CAN FOR SIGNS THAT WILL BE PLACED ALONG THE RACE PATH. If you are interested in giving a donation and would like a sign made, please click on the box below.

2023: The 2nd Annual Color Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023.

BASIC INFO (please click on flyer for more)

Last year, we had over 500 participants (TRULY AMAZING)...let's beat that!

The 5K and 1 Mile walk will both start and end at Riverside Park in Kingman, Kansas. 5K medals will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both the adult and youth groups.

All donations from this event go towards funding the Kingman Country Mental Health HOPE Kit Project. These kits will be distributed to Kingman Co. schools, medical clinics, law enforcement agencies, the health department, and more.

Here is the video from last year's (our 1st annual color run). Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope you all return this year and bring friends!
