Come Show Your Support and Help Raise Awareness for Suicide Prevention

ABOUT THE EVENT
THIS IS A FREE EVENT!
Every year, this event attracts more than 500 attendees to Riverside Park in downtown Kingman, Kansas. Participants include walkers, runners, and volunteers from various community organizations who set up tables to provide resources and support.

Activities include: 5k Run or 1 Mile Walk Guest Speakers Community Resources Kid Zone Activities Remembrance Stations Survivors Gathering Breakfast
T-SHIRTS!
All registered participants - before September 4, 2025, will receive a complimentary event shirt. Please wear your shirt to the event. We will have an early check-in and t-shirt pickup on Friday evening, September 19th, at the Kingman Healthcare Center. As the event approaches, an email will be sent with additional details, so please ensure you provide your email address during registration.
COMMUNITY RESOURCE TABLES
A variety of agencies from Kingman and neighboring counties set up tables to share information about the services they offer, along with providing giveaways. If you wish to reserve a spot, kindly complete the participation registration form. This will help us gather your contact details, T-shirt sizes, and officially list you as an attendee.
REMEMBRANCE STATIONS
Honor Beads:
We will have honor beads (they look like Mardi Gras beads) in various colors. Each color represents something/someone related to suicide support and awareness. For example, someone might be wearing red beads because they lost a spouse due to suicide while another person might be wearing white representing a personal attempt or struggle. Like everything else, these are free.
Memorial Pinwheels:
We will have beautiful pinwheels with customized notes attached that will be displayed at the event. You can then take them home once the event has concluded. To reserve a personalized pinwheel, please complete the participation registration form. There is a designated section for you to provide your personalized message.
Photo Memorials
Photos of loved ones lost to suicide will be displayed near the stage. Please send your photo and message to kmcostrong@kingmanhc.com. You will be able to take the photo home once the event has concluded.
SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER
"BIG JOHN" MURRAY
You might recognize his name from VH1's Rock of Love. His resume includes being a personal assistant and/or security for: Poison Bret Michaels Kid Rock RATT Cinderella He is also a motivational speaker, US Marine, and professional wrestler. We are excited to have him at this year's event!
DONATIONS
This is a free event; however, if you wish to contribute to mental health initiatives in Kingman County, you can make a donation through the mail, online, or at the event itself.
