Whether you need a routine screening or an emergency scan, our friendly and knowledgeable radiology team works closely with your medical provider to ensure you get the care you need.
Did you know we use the same imaging technology as larger hospitals? That means you don't have to travel out of town for imaging services.
GENERAL X-RAYS
Digital images of the body's interior are captured with minimal radiation exposure. These X-rays assist in diagnosing both chronic conditions, such as bone cancer, and acute issues, like injuries.
General X-rays are available every day.
CT SCANS
CT scans (Computed Tomography), also called CAT Scans, take multiple images from different angles around the body with the help of a computer. They are available with or without contrast and deliver detailed images of bones, tissues, and organs. CT scans provide more detailed images than traditional X-rays, allowing doctors to see a wider range of structures within the body, including organs, soft tissues, and blood vessels.
CT Scans are available every day.
3D MAMMOGRAPHY
A 3D mammogram takes multiple X-ray images of the breast from different angles, and a computer then combines these images to create a 3D picture. These X-ray images generate a three-dimensional image of the breast, enabling doctors to examine breast tissue in layers. This innovative technique enhances breast cancer detection, especially in women with dense breast tissue, and may decrease the necessity for further imaging or biopsies.
Mammograms are available Monday-Friday.
ULTRASOUND SERVICES
Ultrasound, also known as a sonogram, is a medical imaging method that employs high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the body's internal structures. This non-invasive and typically painless procedure allows physicians to visualize soft tissues and organs. Ultrasound is extensively utilized across multiple medical disciplines for both diagnosis and monitoring purposes.
Ultrasound Services are available Monday - Thursday.
MRI
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a diagnostic examination that combines a powerful magnet, radio frequencies, and a computer to create intricate images of the body's organs and structures. MRI can be utilized to assess bones, joints, and soft tissues, including cartilage, muscles, and tendons, for injuries or to detect structural abnormalities and various conditions. These may include tumors, inflammatory diseases, congenital abnormalities, bone marrow disorders, as well as herniation or degeneration of spinal discs.
MRIs are available on Thursdays.
BONE DENSITY SCAN
A bone density scan, commonly referred to as a DEXA scan, is a medical examination that evaluates the strength of your bones and assesses your risk for osteoporosis. This test employs a low dose of X-rays to measure the density of your bones, primarily focusing on the hip and spine. The outcomes can assist your doctor in determining whether you have osteoporosis, predicting your likelihood of future fractures, and monitoring the effectiveness of any osteoporosis treatments.
Bone Density Scans are available Monday - Friday.
C-ARM
The "C-arm" name comes from the C-shaped structure that connects the X-ray source and detector, enabling the machine to be moved around the patient in various positions. We use a C-arm in pain management and some surgical procedures.
There are no appointments for C-arm use; if one is used, it will be during a procedure under the care of a surgeon or anesthesiologist.
NUCLEAR MEDICINE
Nuclear Medicine uses small amounts of radioactive substances and a Gamma camera to diagnose and treat various conditions. It can detect abnormalities early, even before other diagnostic methods. A common example is to see if your gall bladder is working properly.
By appointment only. Generally, your medical provider will set up this appointment for you.
